Responsible for creating and leading a Business Practice within the Professional Services Group focused on Cybersecurity Solutions. Responsible for creating business plans that map out the profitable delivery Customer Cybersecurity solutions. The Business plan must create a structure, identify resources, budget costs, and outline solutions that create a path to profitability and growth. Building the Practice will include writing services descriptions, creating training and marketing materials, and defining templates for efficient, repetitive solution delivery. Leader will be responsible for all aspects of creating and growing a professional team to capture and confirm Customer business and technical requirements; including directing and contributing to the scoping of new engagements, proposal development, architecting solutions, and delivering successful projects that create viable cybersecurity solutions.  Responsibilities also include identifying Cybersecurity needs and trends within client organizations and across the industry, while leading a team to architect and deliver proactive services to address those needs.


Essential Business Functions

·         Write a formal Business Plan that will define the creation and leadership of the Cybersecurity Practice, managing people, process, and P&L, resulting in a growing and profitable service business

·         Play a significant role in building the GDH PSG Collateral Repository, including the management and development of intellectual property (IP)

·         Own the production, storage, consistent use, and communication of the existence of reusable Intellectual Property and leading practices documentation

·         Develop and/or recognize cybersecurity designs, architectures, and best practices for reuse by PSG to accelerate the creation and delivery of solutions to new clients

·         Assemble, lead, and mentor teams of project managers, cybersecurity engineers and architects in the on time and within budget delivery of solutions to Customer specifications

·         Lead, direct, and deliver scoping and design workshops, ensuring technical requirements and project scope are well understood and documented

·         Assist project managers to identify and assign technical resources in support of project requirements and execution

·         Support marketing activities; to include producing blog content, delivering tradeshow and user group presentations, and webinars


Essential Client Functions

·         Partner with the GDH Sales and support teams to identify, define, scope, and document client requirements, then create proposals for new cybersecurity project opportunities that address those needs.  Proposals and Customer communication must be compelling and relevant to cybersecurity solutions

·         Recognize and develop opportunities to leverage cybersecurity solutions as a platform

·         Work with clients to assess their current cybersecurity practices, (people, processes, and tools), and provide vendor agnostic recommendations that drive improvements to clients’ overall  cybersecurity architecture

·         Define cybersecurity needs (Cisco ISE or other providers), and determine integration requirements and implementation plans for broad-scope, complex cybersecurity projects

·         Identify client skill gaps and business shortfalls, then establish recommendations and suggest programs to address them

·         Provide guidance in the definition of industry recognized cybersecurity solutions applicable to client’s business

·         Provide guidance and direction to technical team members

·         Demonstrate configuration, development, and integration support if needed, and provide quality assurance for all project deliverables

·         Provide point of escalation for projects and be the liaison to Sales



·         Lead, manage, and mentor people (employees and contingent consultants)

·         Experience to create a business plan and mange a profitable P&L

·         Ability to sell/present to clients and partners the value of GDH and PSG

·         Leadership skills in working with clients, sales, and other GDH resources on the development of business and technical strategies

·         Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity technologies (including InfoSec and Cisco Security Solutions) with additional knowledge in one or more technical areas: Network design, Collaboration architectures, and Program Management

·         Demonstrated knowledge of InfoSec related infrastructure, as well as cloud technologies, firewalls, web application firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers

·         Functional understanding of network routing and switching protocols including: TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VPN, DMVPN, STP, VTP, AAA, DHCP, WAAS, HSRP, VLAN, Spanning Tree, QoS

·         Cybersecurity industry best practices

·         Strong technical presentation skills

·         Strong verbal, written, and media-based communications skills, with the ability to formulate and communicate highly technical and complex networking and collaboration concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and effective manner

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time position.  Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.




Approximately 25% of travel is estimated for this position but could be up to 50%.


Required Education and Experience


·         Bachelor’s Degree in technical or business information curriculum, or equivalent work experience

·         Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and techniques

·         Multiple security certifications (CISA, , GPEN, GWAPT, GCIH, other GIAC certs, OSCP, CEH, Check Point, PCNSE, etc.)

·         Minimum of 5 years’ professional services/consulting experience

·         5+ years’ experience soliciting, documenting, and evolving client requirements into successful solutions


Preferred Education and Experience


·         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience

·         Experience with, and knowledge of industry frameworks and standards

·         Multiple security certifications (CISA, , GPEN, GWAPT, GCIH, other GIAC certs, OSCP, CEH, Check Point, PCNSE, etc.)

    • CISSP: Certified Information Systems Security Professional
    • CISM: Certified Information Security Manager
    • CompTIA Security+
    • CEH: Certified Ethical Hacker
    • GSEC: SANS GIAC Security Essentials
    • CCIE Routing and Switching
    • 1 Specialty Certification

·         Working knowledge of penetration tools and techniques

·         Minimum of 5 years’ advanced level experience with web technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc.)

·         10 years’ professional services consulting experience

·         8+ years’ experience soliciting, documenting, and evolving client requirements into successful solutions
