Competitive Business-to-Business Sales “Go Getter” is needed for the Tri State market. Desired candidate is a strong sales closer with high energy, who likes to win at sales. Relationship building with sales results is necessary. Assertive, business development candidate who is well connected to business decision makers is key to success in this position. 

Candidate Profile

Candidate must be able to develop business and "hit the ground running" by calling on and developing relationships with decision makers primarily in the Washington DC market. Position requires you to call on all levels of decision makers in large complex companies developing new business and growing large national accounts. Cold calling and scheduling qualified appointments is mandatory. Only enthusiastic and motivated individuals are encouraged to apply.  Prior sales experience in B2B sales with a proven track record of success selling into large highly matrixed national accounts is necessary.  Strong Sales Closing skills and ability to develop relationships at all levels within a large national account is key.

Staffing industry experience would be preferred.

Job Description

·         Senior Account Manager with Information Technology Staffing experience will be responsible for selling GDH IT Professional Services in the Washington DC market.

·         Responsible for identifying, prospecting, and securing business opportunities to support new revenue growth for large national accounts in the Washington DC market.

·         Develop and implement sales strategies for new account prospects, focusing primarily on higher margin retail prospects and new business opportunities within active and inactive accounts.

·         Work with Director of National Account and Regional VPs to plan, conduct, and follow up on sales calls. Maintain a close working relationship with Home Office to drive activity/results through the leveraging and consistent application of corporate best practice sales processes and initiatives.

·         Identifies prospects and develops sales strategies to secure new business. This may include sales calls, competitive analysis, coordination of presentations and proposals, in-office demonstrations, direct mail campaigns, and follow up activity coordinated within that plan/approach.

·         Work closely with recruiting team to identify types of business the team is most likely to fill successfully.

·         Meets regularly with Director of National Accounts to review/coordinate sales efforts to ensure continued focus and success in meeting and exceeding individual and area sales activity and revenue targets set by Director of National Accounts.

 

Qualifications

·         Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing or the Communication Field. Successful related work experience in a services industry may substitute.

·         Minimum of 3 years proven outside direct sales experience with focus in consultative and solution oriented sales approaches.

·         Ability to call on the highest levels of decision makers in an organization with confidence for the areas represented (e.g., VP of IT, CFO, Director of IT, Director R & D, CTO, etc.)

·         Demonstrated success working in fast-paced, highly competitive, deadline oriented environment.

·         Self-motivated individual who exhibits sense of urgency in all sales and service related activity.

·         Exceptional communication, presentation, follow-up, negotiation, and closing skills. Strong emphasis on the ability to listen and present appropriate solutions.

·         Local travel is required for this position but candidate can work remotely when not traveling.
